Role Overview
CDM Smith is seeking a Structural Bridge Engineer with 4–5 years of experience in bridge and related structural analysis and design.
The candidate should understand bridge engineering principles, structural analysis, design codes, and industry-standard structural analysis software.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design of bridges, culverts, and associated structures.
- Develop structural design calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
- Develop models and perform analysis using MIDAS Civil and CSiBridge.
- Interpret analysis results and ensure compliance with design codes and project specifications.
- Coordinate and report progress to the supervisor.
- Assist with technical and construction-related structural issues.
Technical Requirements
- Good knowledge of CADD 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Basic knowledge of engineering design principles.
- Required software skills include MIDAS Civil, CSiBridge, and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong understanding of structural analysis and bridge design principles.
- Good knowledge of RCC and prestressed concrete bridge design.
- Experience with steel bridge structures is an advantage.
Qualifications
- 4–5 years of relevant bridge structural engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical-report-writing skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
