Essential functions and responsibilities include:
- Acquires basic knowledge and develops skills in a specific practice area
- Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks
- Exercises limited judgment on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional work
- Acquires and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
- Performs basic design tasks
- Perform code and product research
- Visits sites to prepare as-built drawings of existing buildings
- Prepares construction document drawings in CAD or Revit
- Assists on other tasks such as preparation of permit applications and project manuals
- Collects data and gathers information, performs standard computation and analysis
- Coordinates with engineering consultants on assigned projects
- Prepare meeting agendas and document meeting notes
- Responds to contractors RFIs and communications during construction
- Review shop drawings for conformance with construction documents
- Occasional site visits to projects during the construction phase to monitor construction progress
- Performs any other tasks as needed by Supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) from an accredited architectural program
- Previous architectural internship experience preferred
- Must be able to perform work-related travel and have a valid driver’s license
- Must be local to GMC office
