Job Description
Support the Project Director in overseeing complex airport development and operational projects in Doha, Qatar.
Help deliver projects from conception through completion on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, contractors, and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute airport projects of varying scope and complexity with the Project Director.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation for performance and cost control.
- Coordinate government agencies, contractors, consultants, and internal departments.
- Monitor timelines and deliverables, identify deviations, and address them proactively.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies.
- Prepare project reports, status updates, and performance metrics for senior leadership.
- Lead and mentor project team members and foster a high-performance environment.
- Manage stakeholder escalations and resolve conflicts.
- Analyze project data to support continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Minimum 18 years of project management experience, including at least 10 years in a senior project management or deputy director capacity.
- Proven experience managing airport development, cargo expansion, or operational projects is required.
- Strong knowledge of airport operations, aviation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in budget management, financial forecasting, and cost control.
- Proficiency with PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management frameworks.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Project, Primavera, or similar project management tools.
- Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
- Middle East airport infrastructure experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of aviation safety management systems and quality assurance protocols is preferred.
