Responsibilities
- Support the General Manager in day to day management of marine operations
- Ensure assigned vessels remain fully operational, compliant, and commercially efficient
- Manage vessel performance, mobilization, maintenance planning, and operational readiness
- Prepare, monitor, and manage annual operational budgets, cost control, and management reporting
- Review operational KPIs and provide recommendations to improve fleet performance
- Ensure compliance with IMO, ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, Flag State, Class, and company QHSSE requirements
- Coordinate with clients, vessel masters, superintendents, procurement, crewing, and technical teams
- Participate in audits, inspections, incident investigations, and risk assessments
- Support commercial and tendering activities by providing operational expertise
- Lead, mentor, and develop operations personnel while promoting a strong safety culture
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Marine Operations, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 10 years of offshore/marine industry experience
- Minimum 2 years in a senior operational leadership role
- Mandatory experience managing offshore or commercial vessels
- Mandatory experience preparing and managing annual operational budgets and management reporting
- Strong knowledge of ISM Code, SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO, Flag State, and Class requirements
- Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and client management skills
- Experience using fleet management systems is highly desirable
- Certificate of Competency (Unlimited/F.G.) is an advantage
