Deployment Engineer

Polar Field Services (PFS) is seeking a hands-on Deployment Engineer to support the TaaraConnect program, an innovative wireless communications network delivering high-speed connectivity through Free Space Optical Communications (FSOC) technology.

This role is ideal for an experienced telecommunications, networking, or field engineering professional who enjoys a combination of technical problem solving, deployment work, international travel, and working with cutting-edge technology.

Conduct site surveys and assess deployment readiness.

Install, integrate, align, and commission wireless communication systems.

Perform optical and RF alignment, testing, troubleshooting, and network turn-up activities.

Coordinate and manage deployment logistics for domestic and international installations.

Train and oversee local contractors during deployment projects.

Collaborate with engineering, operations, and customer teams to resolve technical challenges.

Develop and improve deployment procedures, documentation, and best practices.

Support network operations and incident response activities as needed.
