Position Summary

Culinary Responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods.
• Regulate ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters and thaw frozen food in refrigerators.
• Ensure proper portions, arrangement, and food garnishing.
• Maintain food logs and monitor the quality and quantity of prepared food.
• Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
• Inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials and service staff about menu specials or unavailable items.

Team and Safety Responsibilities

• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Follow company, safety, and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
• Maintain confidentiality, protect company assets, and maintain clean, professional uniform and appearance.
• Anticipate guest service needs, communicate professionally, and maintain positive working relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

• A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
• At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
• No supervisory experience is required.

Physical Work Conditions

• The role requires standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods.
• The role includes reaching overhead and below the knees, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• The role requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance.

Schedule

• The position is full time and based at the JW Marriott in Dubai.
