Position Summary
Prepare and cook food, including special meals, substitute items, and cold foods, according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
Monitor food quality and quantity, maintain food logs, and support food service operations during busy periods.
Kitchen Responsibilities
- Regulate oven, broiler, grill, and roaster temperatures and thaw frozen food safely in refrigerated storage.
- Ensure proper food portioning, arrangement, garnish, and presentation.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods and inform the Chef about excess food for daily specials.
- Inform Food and Beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock menu items.
Team and Safety Responsibilities
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow company safety and security policies and report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Maintain professional communication and working relationships, anticipate guest service needs, and support quality standards.
- Perform physical kitchen duties, including extended standing or walking and moving objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical, trade, or vocational school degree preferred.
- At least 3 years of related work experience preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required.
- No license or certification is required.
Schedule and Workplace
- The position is full time and not remote.
- The role involves physical kitchen work, including standing, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.
