Position Summary
Prepare special meals, substitute items, and cold foods according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and preparation checklists.
Monitor food quality and quantity while maintaining proper portions, arrangement, garnish, and food logs.
Kitchen Responsibilities
- Regulate temperatures for ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
- Pull frozen food from storage and thaw it in the refrigerator.
- Communicate assistance needs during busy periods.
- Inform the chef about excess food for daily specials and inform service staff about specials and unavailable menu items.
Team and Safety Duties
- Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
- Follow company, safety, and security policies; report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions.
- Maintain professional appearance, protect confidential information and company assets, and support positive working relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of related work experience is preferred.
- A technical, trade, or vocational school degree is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required, and no license or certification is specified.
Workplace and Physical Requirements
- The position is full time and located in West Bay, Doha, Qatar.
- The role requires extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking, as well as bending, twisting, reaching, and moving objects up to 25 pounds.
