- Assist the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations.
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
- Ensure all mise en place is prepared and ready before service.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to senior chefs.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
- Support inventory control, stock rotation (FIFO), and waste reduction initiatives.
- Train and guide Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants when required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
- Assist in menu development, recipe testing, and special food production projects when needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year as a Demi Chef de Partie or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
- Experience in healthy cuisine, meal prep, catering, or high-volume production is an advantage.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.
