Demand Reporting Data Scientist

A Level 5 or higher qualification in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics or a related quantitative subject, or equivalent professional experience

A portfolio of data science solutions that demonstrates your approach, technical contribution and the outcomes delivered

Strong Python and SQL capability, with experience preparing, manipulating and analysing complex datasets

Practical experience applying statistical analysis, predictive modelling and machine learning techniques

Strong Power BI experience, including data discovery, semantic models, visualisation and insight communication

Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and translating business problems into analytical solutions

Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills, with the ability to explain technical approaches to non-technical audiences

Awareness of data ethics, privacy considerations and relevant data protection requirements

Curiosity, ownership and a commitment to continuous technical development

Experience using Microsoft Azure, Databricks or comparable cloud data platforms

Experience collaborating on shared codebases and working with DevOps, Agile or Waterfall delivery methods

Knowledge of the water industry, consumption reporting, leakage or a related engineering domain

At Anglian Water, data is central to how we secure resilient water supplies and support customers to use water more efficiently. In this role, you'll help unlock the value of one of the UK's fastest-growing smart meter datasets and directly influence how we understand demand, improve reporting and plan fo r the future .

You'll gain exposure to complex, high-value data science challenges with clear regulatory, operational and environmental outcomes. Working alongside Data Engineers, reporting specialists and subject matter experts, you'll develop your capability across modelling, machine learning, data pipelines and applied water-sector analytics while helping establish sustainable in-house expertise.
