Demand Planner

Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and update demand forecasts for products using historical data, sales trends, and market insights.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to gather inputs for accurate demand planning.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability across distribution channels.
• Coordinate with procurement and suppliers to ensure timely replenishment and avoid stock-outs or overstocking.
• Conduct regular demand and supply reviews, identifying gaps and proposing corrective actions.
• Analyze sales performance, market trends, and customer behavior to refine demand forecasts.
• Track key demand planning KPIs (forecast accuracy, service level, inventory turnover, etc.).
• Prepare and present demand planning reports to management for decision-making.
• Support new product launches with forecast analysis and initial stocking strategies.
• Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure smooth distribution and order fulfillment.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3–5 years) in demand planning, preferably products distribution.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and demand planning tools/software.
• Knowledge of inventory management principles and supply chain processes.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across multiple teams.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
