The Demand Planner supports supply chain efficiency across Casinetto’s food trading and distribution operations in the UAE.
The role focuses on accurate demand forecasts, optimal inventory levels, product availability, and working capital efficiency.
Demand Forecasting and Analysis
- Develop and maintain demand forecasts using statistical models, historical sales data, and commercial or market inputs.
- Adjust forecasts for market dynamics, seasonality, promotions, and new product introductions.
- Track forecast accuracy against business objectives across the UAE market.
Inventory Planning and Management
- Maintain inventory levels that meet customer demand while minimizing overstock, expiries, and holding costs.
- Monitor daily stock levels for out-of-stock, low-stock, and overstock situations.
- Analyze stock imbalances and their impact on sales, service levels, and profit margins.
- Track shelf life and expiration dates and implement mitigation plans.
- Coordinate replenishment during shortages and reduce excess or obsolete stock.
Supplier and Procurement Coordination
- Align forecasts with suppliers on lead times, minimum order quantities, and service-level agreements.
- Partner with Procurement and Buyers to resolve constraints, capacity issues, and sourcing alternatives.
- Share forecast and inventory insights with suppliers to improve availability and reliability.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and S&OP
- Work with Sales, Key Account Management, Category or Brand Management, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance.
- Provide stakeholders with visibility into inventory positions, risks, and opportunities.
- Support S&OP and demand review meetings with data-driven insights and scenario analysis.
Experience and Knowledge
- 3–5+ years of demand planning, inventory management, or supply chain planning experience is required.
- Experience in food and beverage, FMCG, or perishable goods is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of lead times, safety stock, minimum order quantities, shelf life, and expiry constraints is required.
Technical and Collaboration Skills
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle and forecasting tools is required.
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills are required.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are required.
- AI copilots for data analysis or planning are a plus.
Education
- A bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, industrial engineering, finance, business administration, or a related field is required, or equivalent hands-on experience.
