Key skills for this role
Our SEO programme runs product by product through an eight-phase pipeline: Kickoff → Seeding → Discovery → Filtering → Conversion Audit → Baseline & Goal → Planning → Tasks → Execution. You will work inside every phase.
- Build seed keyword lists for a product across our five seed types: core topic, customer pain, competitor brand, regulatory anchor and persona job-to-be-done. Every seed must trace to real evidence (sales calls, FDA data, competitor pages, customer language), not guesses.
- Expand seeds into a candidate pool using DataForSEO (multi-mode, dual-region India + US sweep), then run the junk filter and manually review every remaining row. Expect pools of several hundred keywords where 60 to 80% is noise.
- Reduce the reviewed pool to 3 to 5 primary pillar keywords plus 15 to 30 supporting cluster keywords using our five-stage funnel and weighted scoring rubric. Document the rationale for every keep and every cut.
- Freeze a 28-day baseline of impressions and clicks per product page from Google Search Console. Our success bar is 3× clicks against baseline.
- Own the Monday numbers: pull GSC impressions and clicks, DataForSEO rank positions and task closure counts, compute week-over-week deltas against the locked baseline, and flag pages that are gaining impressions but not clicks (a title/meta problem, not a win).
- Maintain the Rank Tracker and product funnel views in the dashboard so the team sees one source of truth.

- Map every filtered keyword to a target page and a role (pillar page vs supporting page). Build the full page list for the product and identify which of our four SEO pillars is the bottleneck on each page:
1. Technical Foundation (indexability, speed, mobile, canonicals)
2. Search Intent & Content Quality (right query, depth, unique evidence)
3. On-Page Optimization (H1, title, meta, schema, internal links)
4. Off-Page Authority (backlinks, mentions)
- Audit each planned page against all four pillars and turn every gap into a task with Action, Pillar, Priority, Effort and a measurable win condition.
- Write structured change specifications for the website team: exact current and target strings for meta titles, meta descriptions, canonicals, schema markup, keyword insertions and internal links, each with a priority and a constraint on what must be preserved. No vague "improve the page" notes.
- Suggest new pages where keyword gaps exist: target keyword, suggested title tag and meta description, page structure and internal-link targets. You specify; the content team writes.
- Re-scan the live site after the website team ships and verify each change was applied as specified. Mark resolved changes and chase the ones that are not.
6. Site migration ( leucine.io → leucine.ai )
- We are mid-way through migrating our old domain to the new one. You will help work the URL-mapping table: match old URLs to new destinations, decide redirect vs keep-live vs retire based on 16 months of GSC query data, and flag pages that need to be built new before a redirect can go live.
- Set up and verify 301 redirects in Webflow, confirm the destination page is indexed, and check that rankings on the old URL transfer rather than drop.
- Write migration briefs for the website team: per page, the action (build new vs update existing), the suggested keywords and where each goes, the suggested title and meta, and the page structure.
- Read GA4 to find where product-page traffic leaks (high exits, no CTA clicks, form abandonment) and record per-page findings with where, why, evidence and recommended action.
- Run PageSpeed Insights and Core Web Vitals checks on priority pages and log technical fixes as Pillar 1 tasks.
- Help with our early Generative Engine Optimization work: llms.txt compliance, passage citability, and tracking which keywords trigger AI Overviews.
- Help assemble LinkedIn post kits for campaigns and events: one company caption plus tailored reshare takes for each of our leadership voices, packaged with the creative.
- Produce post graphics (announcement cards, countdown cards, recap carousels) using our locked brand design system and templates.
- Run the weekly Monday ingest of LinkedIn analytics CSV exports into the Social dashboard and confirm every CTA link carries the correct UTM tags.
- Mine our internal knowledge base and FDA Tracker data for content ideas and log them in the content-ideas backlog.
- Research and qualify pharma industry events against our ICP: who attends, which companies, sponsorship tiers and cost, and whether the expected qualified meetings justify the spend.
- Build attendee dossiers for qualified events: company ICP tier, recent FDA inspection history from FDA Tracker, prior CRM contact, and public profile notes for introductions.
- Support the before/during/after event campaign plan, the execution task list and the activity log as organiser emails and replies come in.
- Our event success metric is sales-qualified leads booked. You will help track meetings completed and cost per meeting after each event.
- Our outbound channel (cold email via Instantly / Heyreach, TAM building via Clay) is scaffolded but not yet live. You will help stand it up: build target account and contact lists from FDA Tracker's inspection database filtered against our ICP, and help set up the first campaign-tracking views (reply rate, meetings booked per sequence).
- How a B2B SEO programme is actually run against numbers: seeding, discovery, filtering, baselining, planning, tasking, shipping and measuring, on live product pages with real traffic.
- Hands-on fluency with Google Search Console, GA4, DataForSEO, PageSpeed Insights and Webflow.
- How to run a domain migration without losing rankings.
- How AI tooling (Claude Code, structured skills and automated gate reviews) is used to run marketing operations as repeatable pipelines.
- How pharma quality and manufacturing buyers search, think and buy, and how FDA inspection data drives go-to-market.
- Hands-on time in Google Search Console or GA4, even on a personal or college project.
- Exposure to any keyword tool (DataForSEO, Ahrefs, Semrush, Google Keyword Planner).
- Familiarity with Webflow or any CMS.
- Basic markdown and comfort working in a terminal or with AI coding assistants.
- LinkedIn content or design experience (Canva, Figma).
