Delivery Manager - IT Purchasing Solutions

Responsibilities and Duties

• Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of IT solutions and services in the Purchasing area, covering both one-time and run-time activities.
• Manage and continuously improve the application landscape supporting purchasing operations across key business locations.
• Ensure deliveries are executed according to agreed targets for scope, cost, timeline, quality, service stability, and business value.
• Secure prioritization, planning, resource allocation, and workload distribution within the team based on business priorities and delivery commitments.
• Lead release planning, go-live, cutover, hypercare, and transition-to-support activities together with internal teams and third-party partners.
• Govern incidents, problems, changes, enhancements, and releases, and ensure agreed SLAs, KPIs, and service commitments are met.
• Manage internal resources and external service providers effectively, including delivery follow-up, issue escalation, quality control, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with business partner teams and key stakeholders on demand intake, roadmap planning, tactical priorities, and strategic initiatives in the Purchasing area.
• Ensure clear understanding and management of dependencies with Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing, and other enterprise solutions.
• Provide transparent communication to business and IT stakeholders on delivery status, risks, decisions, dependencies, and improvement actions.
• Support financial follow-up, budget planning, forecast input, and cost efficiency for deliveries in scope.
• Build, maintain, and strengthen strategic competence in the team from both business/domain and IT/technical perspectives.
• Evaluate team members' performance, identify development needs, coach individuals, and foster a learning culture with high performance and accountability.
• Represent the area in relevant governance forums, steering meetings, and cross-functional initiatives when required.
• Actively contribute to the broader Solution Delivery management team and collaborate with ISUZU IT teams on shared topics and deliveries.

Mandatory Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in IT solution delivery, enterprise applications, IT, and/or business consulting.
• 5+ years of experience in delivery management or people/team management, including both project delivery and run-time service operations.
• Experience in the Purchasing / Procurement functional domain within automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
• Experience working in an IT delivery organization with strong knowledge of methods used in project delivery, application management, and service operations.
• Proven experience leading teams and stakeholders in a global and multicultural environment.
• Strong understanding of solution dependencies and application landscape management across upstream and downstream business processes.
• Strong communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and issue-resolution skills.
• Strong quality mindset and ability to manage business-critical solutions in complex environments.
• Result-driven mindset with a strong sense of urgency, ownership, and accountability.
• Passion for developing people and building high-performing teams.
• Strong collaboration skills, cultural awareness, and ability to work effectively across functions and geographies.
• Professional proficiency in English; Japanese language capability is highly preferred and may be required depending on stakeholder scope and business location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Experience in managing delivery finances, budgets, forecasts, and partner spend within scope.
• Experience representing delivery organizations in steering committees, governance forums, or leadership reviews.
• Good knowledge of UD Trucks' solution landscape, especially in the Purchasing area.
• Project management, service management, and/or ITSM certification or practical experience.
• Experience managing global vendors, offshore delivery teams, or managed service partners.
• Working experience in some of the current application landscape and enabling technologies supporting Purchasing IT solutions is a good-to-have; experience across all systems is not required. Mainframe / Mainframe tools experience is a particularly strong good-to-have.
