Role overview
The Delivery Captain delivers customer orders and collects returns on time and with care.
The role is responsible for safe delivery of goods within an appointed region.
The role includes securing goods, maintaining the vehicle, loading and unloading, and selecting efficient routes.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver orders to wholesale customers and retail outlets and complete last-mile customer deliveries.
- Check orders before delivery, collect returns, collect shop orders, and complete shop-to-shop transfers.
- Collect cash and credit-card payments from cash-on-delivery customers according to procedure.
- Complete all required processes in Fareye and collect necessary return documents.
- Report lost or misplaced packages, incidents, accidents, security breaches, and maintenance issues.
- Follow assigned routes, schedules, operating instructions, traffic regulations, and road-safety requirements.
