Delivery Assurance & Escalation Lead

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead root-cause investigations into schedule and delivery issues and ensure they close with tangible outcomes.
• Own actions recorded in the EPMO Tasks & Issues Log.
• Escalate delegation-of-authority and signatory-bloat findings immediately.
• Represent the EPMO in entity-level delivery review forums.
• Hold CEOs, Project Directors, and senior leaders accountable for delivery outcomes.
• Challenge unsupported status reports and ensure decisions are evidence-based.

Construction Knowledge and Expertise

• Understand the full construction delivery lifecycle, including mobilisation, design freeze, procurement, execution, testing and commissioning, handover, and defects liability.
• Review and interpret Primavera P6 or equivalent schedules and distinguish critical-path slippage from float erosion or reporting artefacts.
• Understand delay causation across contractor performance, design and IFC delays, procurement or payment blockages, client-side issues, and force majeure.
• Substantiate findings through documentation and evidence rather than stakeholder narratives.
• Understand general contractor and subcontractor delivery chains, including related-group structures.
• Understand contractual notices, dispute escalation mechanisms, and the difference between contractual escalation and routine correspondence.

Experience and Technical Skills

• Bring 10-15 years of experience in major project delivery environments.
• Experience in a main contractor, PMO, or client-side delivery assurance function is preferred.
• Gulf or wider MENA project delivery experience is strongly preferred.
• Understand holding-company and subsidiary delivery structures.
• Have proven experience holding CEOs, COOs, and Project Directors accountable in delivery and governance forums.
• Have managed construction disputes or delivery escalations through resolution, without necessarily acting in a legal capacity.

AI Fluency

• Demonstrate genuine enthusiasm for using AI as a core professional tool through practical examples.
• Use AI to identify delivery risks earlier, accelerate root-cause analysis, or support recovery planning.
• Explain practical examples of AI-driven improvements to project delivery outcomes.
• Work comfortably with technical teams to develop AI-assisted schedule and delivery analysis solutions without requiring direct software development expertise.
