Role Summary
The DECO PM&R (Preventive Maintenance & Repair) Technician is a hands-on mechanical specialist who supports complex preventive maintenance, major repairs, and overhaul activities and assists Maintainers during challenging breakdowns.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute complex PMs and precision mechanical work on can-making and ancillary equipment per standards and safe practices.
- Lead/support major overhauls: tear-down, inspection, measurement, rebuild, alignment, lubrication, and startup verification.
- Support breakdowns: diagnose root causes, develop safe repair plans, and restore stable operation.
- Perform advanced mechanical troubleshooting and document findings and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Electricians/Controls, recognizing when support is required for safe, efficient repairs.
