Role Overview

Role Overview
The HYCO DCS Operator reports to the HYCO Lead or Shift Supervisor and is accountable for daily DCS and field operation of the HYCO facility.
The role operates the hydrogen manufacturing unit from a centralized control room while supporting safe, efficient, stable production and customer supply.
Safety, Health and Environment
- Maintain a safe and stable operating environment and follow company and industry safe work processes.
- Enforce safe work permits, lockout/tagout, management of change, and required safety documentation.
- Respond to process emergencies, execute emergency procedures, and direct field operators when required.
- Monitor safety instrumented and fire and gas systems and understand safety interlock cause-and-effect charts.
- Ensure plant emissions and waste streams comply with environmental permits and requirements.
Technical and Operations
- Operate the SMR-based hydrogen plant, CO2 removal and compression systems, PSA, membrane unit, and related utilities.
- Operate the pipeline network supplying hydrogen, steam, and CO2 to customer pipelines.
- Monitor flows, temperatures, pressures, levels, analytical values, trends, and equipment performance through DCS.
- Manipulate control loops, setpoints, and cascades to maintain stable operation within defined limits.
