Role Overview
DCS Operator responsible for safe, reliable, and efficient operation of an SMR-based hydrogen production facility and associated utilities.
The role supports product supply, customer requirements, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
Safety, Health and Environment
- Maintain a safe and stable operating environment and follow company and industry safe-work processes.
- Follow Safe Work Permits, Lock-out Tag-out, management of change, and process safety procedures.
- Respond to process emergencies and direct field operators when required.
- Monitor Safety Instrumented Systems and Fire and Gas Systems.
- Ensure emissions and waste streams comply with environmental permits.
Plant Operations
- Operate the SMR-based hydrogen plant, CO2 removal and compression, PSA, membrane unit, and related utilities.
- Operate the pipeline network supplying hydrogen, steam, and CO2 to customer pipelines.
- Monitor flows, temperatures, pressures, levels, and analytical values through the DCS.
- Manipulate control loops, setpoints, and cascades to maintain stable operations.
- Use historical data and trends to identify degradation, inefficiencies, trips, and failures.
- Execute and supervise cold, warm, and hot standby start-up sequences and assist with commissioning.
