About the Role
Aflak Solutions for Communications and IT is looking for a Database Engineer/DBA with 5+ years of experience to ensure performance, integrity, and security of enterprise databases in Riyadh.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain high availability database systems
- Design and implement databases based on business requirements
- Define users and manage data access and distribution
- Ensure continuous database operations (24/7 availability)
- Implement backup and recovery strategies and performance optimization
- Provide proactive and reactive database support
- Define and enforce database policies, procedures, and standards
- Perform regular testing for security, data privacy, and data integrity
- Monitor performance and apply updates, patches, and upgrades
- Stay updated with latest technologies and trends
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as Database Administrator (DBA)
- Strong hands on experience with database systems and end user applications
- Excellent knowledge of SQL, backup & recovery, data security & integrity
- Experience in database design, documentation, and coding
- Familiarity with DBA tools, third party tools, and APIs
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field
- Certification such as MCSE (Data Management & Analytics) is a plus
