Database Administration - PostgreSQL

Execute and validate database backup procedures.

Perform database restore operations when required.

Assist in disaster recovery testing and documentation.

Ensure backup policies and retention requirements are followed.

Support PostgreSQL replication environments.

Monitor replication status and troubleshoot issues.

Assist in failover and recovery activities.

Troubleshoot database-related incidents and outages.

Work with application and infrastructure teams to resolve issues.

Participate in on-call support and maintenance activities.

Perform root cause analysis and document findings.

Use scripts to automate routine DBA activities.

Work with monitoring tools for proactive alerting and reporting.

Maintain database documentation and operational procedures.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Good communication and documentation abilities.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.

Willingness to provide production and on-call support.

Primary Skill: PostgreSQL DBA Secondary Skills: Linux, SQL Performance Tuning, Backup & Recovery, Shell/Python Scripting, Replication & Monitoring.
