The Database Administrator manages and administers the infrastructure supporting business technology systems.
The role includes database configuration, installation, maintenance, access management, security, recovery, and performance improvement.
The position supports end users and application developers with complex database problems.
Core Responsibilities
- Configure, install, maintain, monitor, and administer database management systems.
- Manage user access and implement security controls against unauthorized access.
- Develop backup and recovery plans and support disaster recovery activities.
- Support end users and application developers with database-related problems.
- Implement data protection policies and procedures.
- Conduct capacity planning and growth projections based on usage.
- Coordinate database project plans with other teams.
- Propose and implement performance and reliability enhancements.
