The position connects data systems, reporting, compliance, training, and organizational decision-making.
Data Systems Management
- Administer student information, assessment, attendance, behavior, demographic, gradebook, and educational technology systems.
- Manage data collection, maintenance, quality, user accounts, permissions, and security practices.
- Support schedules, enrollments, demographics, attendance, grades, report cards, and recurring school processes.
- Troubleshoot issues, coordinate with vendors, maintain procedures, and provide staff onboarding and training.
Compliance and Reporting
- Coordinate recurring data reports and requests for internal and external stakeholders, including authorizers, grant partners, and the KIPP Foundation.
- Ensure submissions are accurate and timely through calendars, procedures, documentation, and quality-control processes.
- Conduct data audits, resolve discrepancies, and support student data privacy, confidentiality, and records-management requirements.
Dashboards and Analysis
- Develop, maintain, and improve reports, dashboards, and visualizations using Tableau or similar platforms.
- Analyze achievement, attendance, enrollment, behavior, demographic, and organizational data for patterns and trends.
- Translate findings into clear, actionable information for audiences with different levels of data expertise.
- Maintain report libraries, data definitions, methodologies, and analytical-process documentation.
Integration and Organizational Support
- Monitor connections among student information systems, reporting tools, data sources, warehouses, and other approved resources.
- Assist with testing system updates, integrations, reports, and new features, escalating complex issues when necessary.
- Help leaders and staff identify appropriate data and use reports and systems to support planning and decisions.
- Build relationships, provide training, gather feedback, and continuously improve data practices and products.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and relevant professional experience.
- Experience in a K–12 school, charter school, school district, or education-focused organization.
- Experience with data systems, student information systems, databases, reporting platforms, or similar technology systems.
- Ability to organize, validate, analyze, troubleshoot, and communicate data accurately.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets and experience developing reports, dashboards, or visualizations.
- Strong communication, project-management, confidentiality, and technical-support abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience administering PowerSchool or a comparable student information system.
- Experience with Tableau, Power BI, databases, SQL, data warehouses, system integrations, compliance reporting, or adult-user training.
Compensation
- This is a full-time, 12-month position with a salary range of $55,000–$65,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- Employees may participate in employer health, dental, life, disability, and Oklahoma Teacher Retirement benefits.
