Elder Research Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of MANTECH international Corporation seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist to join our team in Springfield, VA.

include but are not limited to:

• Work directly with clients, managers and technical staff to understand business needs.
• Develop technical plans, and deliver data-driven analytical solutions that solve client problems.
• Create and deploy predictive models from a wide variety of data sources and types using the latest mathematical and statistical methods.

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Data Management, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, or bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in a combination of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science.
• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience that includes data extraction, ingestion, and modeling.
• Experience with Python
• Experience with writing advanced SQL queries
• Knowledge of model evaluation approaches including techniques for improving initial model development and deployed models
• Ability to work with client Subject Matter Experts to understand business rules and translate them to technical specifications
• Communicate clearly both verbally and in writing to teammates and clients
