As a Data Scientist Sr Associate within Risk Management and Compliance at J.P.
Morgan in India, you help the firm grow its business in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks and using your expert judgment to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities
Individual contributor leading or participating in data science driven efforts to support the business
Understand business problems, key KPIs, drive discussions with senior stakeholders, generate and share key insights with strong solutioning mindset
Strong passion for data and analytics with the ability to drive data science capability using advanced AI/ML and Gen AI tools & techniques.
Strong communication skills and the ability to distill information and results into simple concepts and actionable insights for a variety of audiences
Deliver data insights, business value and recommend next steps to senior stakeholders
Develop, train, and deploy machine learning models for credit risk.
Research and implement novel architectures, including Graph Networks, Agentic AI, and Large Language Models.
Build and test AI agents, iterating designs to enhance functionality and user experience.
Conduct rigorous testing to ensure reliability and effectiveness of AI solutions.
Required qualifications, skills, or capabilities -
Ability to understand business problems/processes and design solutions/methodologies that are rooted in data
Hands-on experience with machine learning techniques, time series analysis/prediction, statistical analysis and algorithms, with both classical and deep learning methods.
Proficient in Python, SQL or Databricks with experience in deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow, and classical machine learning tools like XGBoost or Scikit-learn.
Must be proficient in one or more programming languages, e.g., R, Python
Must drive Analytical use cases (machine learning/ deep learning)
Understanding of ETL tools e.g.
Alteryx and Distributed file systems like Hadoop
Comfortable with Visualization tools e.g.
Qlik Sense, Tableau, and ThoughtSpot
Understanding of Cloud computing platforms, e.g., Amazon Web Services, Azure or Google Cloud
Ability to design and execute repeatable and scalable data solutions (extraction / mining / modeling / visualization)
Exposure and experience with designing and building machine learning algorithms
Should have at least 7+ years of experience, preferably in Analytics/Data science.
Master’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent work experience.
Good to have Gen AI experience
