Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Data Scientist role based in Bengaluru.
Build data-driven solutions for forecasting, inventory optimization, and merchandising decisions.
Work with product, engineering, and customer-facing teams to improve AI decision intelligence.
Forecasting and Optimization
- Forecast demand at SKU-store-week granularity for sparse, intermittent, and new-product series.
- Reconcile forecasts across store, regional, and national planning levels.
- Model size and colour curves, cannibalisation, halo effects, and retail-calendar seasonality.
- Build allocation, replenishment, safety stock, assortment, range planning, markdown, and terminal stock models.
- Build simulation tools that answer merchandising scenarios quickly and credibly.
Applied AI and Measurement
- Take models from definition through prototype to production in Rust.
- Develop retrieval, tool-use, and natural-language explanation capabilities for agentic workflows.
- Build evaluation harnesses that measure agent failure modes and system performance.
- Measure promotional lift, price elasticity, and counterfactual outcomes.
