Role Overview

Location and Work Arrangement

• The role is described as hybrid across the UAE, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Fujairah.
• The arrangement requires regular onsite collaboration while offering flexibility for remote work.

Contract Details

• The initial contract duration is six months, with possible extension based on project requirements and performance.
• The engagement type is freelance or independent contractor.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business opportunities.
• Design, develop, and deploy machine-learning and predictive-analytics models.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into data solutions.
• Build statistical models to address business challenges and improve operational efficiency.
• Cleanse, transform, and validate data quality.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Monitor and optimize model performance in production.
• Present insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Support data strategy initiatives and contribute to analytics best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant quantitative or technical field is required.
• At least four years of experience in data science, machine learning, or advanced analytics is required.
• Strong Python proficiency and experience with relevant data science libraries are required.
• SQL and large-scale database experience are required.
• Strong knowledge of machine-learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling is required.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization platforms is required.
• Cloud-platform knowledge is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are required.
• Independent work in a freelance consulting environment is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Enterprise-scale experience is preferred.
• Familiarity with MLOps and model deployment is preferred.
• Spark or Databricks experience is preferred.
• Previous delivery experience in the UAE or GCC region is preferred.
