The Opportunity
Student opportunity within the Control Systems team supporting the reliability and availability of DCS and control system assets.
The role combines data science with industrial operations and involves challenging projects alongside industry professionals.
Schedule and Term
- Job location is Calgary, Alberta, at the Head Office.
- Work schedule is 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday.
- Term length is 8 months and the term starts in May 2027.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
Key Accountabilities
- Design forecasting models and apply machine learning to historical data to identify trends and anomalies.
- Use data orchestration tools such as Prefect to manage data processing workflows and support exploratory data analysis.
- Build interactive dashboards with Plotly Dash and Power BI to present forecasts and insights.
- Clean and preprocess data, addressing anomalies, missing values, and outliers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, integrate data, and support operational improvements.
