Role overview

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow data scientists and analysts while providing technical guidance and coaching.
• Set the data science vision, strategy, and roadmap for rider experience and product goals.
• Partner with product, engineering, marketing, and leadership teams to turn insights into decisions.
• Analyze large-scale datasets to identify opportunities in rider app experience and product health.
• Apply experimentation and causal inference to measure feature and strategy impact.
• Mentor team members, develop careers, and assign projects aligned with individual capabilities.
• Lead adoption of AI-native workflows for data exploration, modeling, and insight delivery.
• Partner with recruiting to hire high-potential candidates from diverse backgrounds.

Experience

• Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, applied mathematics, economics, computer science, or a related area.
• Hands-on experience in experimentation, causal inference, or data science, preferably involving machine learning or marketplace dynamics.
