Role Overview
Lead analytical projects in the AI Economics unit using AI, machine learning, geospatial analysis, and economic modelling.
Manage end-to-end data workflows and collaborate with data scientists, economists, and policy experts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead data-driven projects across public policy and economic domains.
- Design, automate, and optimize data pipelines and analytical workflows.
- Analyze satellite imagery, trade, and macroeconomic data with AI, machine learning, and geospatial techniques.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, ranking systems, and predictive models.
- Translate technical results into actionable policy recommendations.
- Mentor junior data scientists and oversee code quality, documentation, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or Data Science.
- Experience leading data projects or small teams.
- At least five years of experience with Python, SQL, and APIs.
- Experience with machine learning or predictive modelling.
- Experience building data pipelines or ETL processes.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Excellent English communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience with geospatial data, satellite imagery, GIS, GeoPandas, or QGIS.
- Experience with economic or policy-related datasets.
- Experience in consulting or public sector projects.
- Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
- A master's degree in Data Science, Economics, or a related field.
