Reporting directly to the Manager, Digital Analytics, the Data & Insights Analyst uses a blend of analytical, mathematical and technical skills to produce data-driven insights that drive business results at Destination BC and for BC’s tourism industry.
The Data & Insights Analyst will lead medium to large scale projects undertaking fully independent professional data analysis of tourism statistics (e.g. economic indicators), implementing components of Destination BC’s Data & Analytics Strategy and contributing to the success of Destination BC and BC’s tourism industry which consists of 19,748 tourism-related businesses and employs 149,900 tourism employees. The position turns tourism, business, and partner data into clear, actionable insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
*Related experience includes experience in a data analytics, data scientist or data engineering role.
