- Relevant academic background in information management, data science, computer science, engineering, business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid setup and manage priorities in a part time schedule
- Familiarity with data privacy and security principles and relevant regulations or standards

Role Description
- The Data Governance Manager will oversee the design, implementation, and ongoing improvement of data governance frameworks and practices to support the branch’s strategic and operational activities.
- This part time, hybrid role is based in Abu Dhabi, with a mix of on site presence and work from home flexibility.
- Day to day responsibilities include defining and maintaining data policies and standards, coordinating data ownership and stewardship across functions, and monitoring adherence to governance processes.
- The role will establish and manage data quality controls, oversee master data management activities, and ensure that critical organizational data is accurate, secure, and fit for purpose.
- The Data Governance Manager will collaborate with leadership, membership, and technical teams to support reporting, analytics, and decision making, while promoting a culture of responsible data use and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in data governance and data management, including the ability to design and implement policies, standards, and stewardship frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience in data quality and master data management, with practical skills in defining quality metrics, controls, and remediation processes.
- Advanced analytical skills and proficiency with data analysis and reporting tools to support evidence based decision making.
- Relevant academic background in information management, data science, computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience working in complex, multi stakeholder environments; aerospace, aviation, or non profit sector experience is an advantage.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain data concepts to both technical and non technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work independently in a hybrid setup, manage priorities in a part time schedule, and collaborate effectively across locations and time zones.
