Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Establishing data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across business units
- Leading data quality, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with UAE data protection regulations and organizational policies
- Collaborating with business, technology, risk, audit, and compliance teams to strengthen data management practices
- Defining governance metrics, KPIs, and reporting mechanisms to monitor data health and compliance
- Driving data literacy and fostering a culture of responsible data usage
Requirements
- Proven experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, MDM, or Information Management roles
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, COBIT, or similar methodologies
- Experience implementing governance programs within large enterprises or complex business environments
- Understanding of data privacy, information security, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with ability to align governance initiatives with business objectives

Role Overview

What You’ll Be Doing
- Developing and implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and standards
- Establishing data ownership, stewardship, and accountability models across business units
- Leading data quality, metadata management, and master data management (MDM) initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with UAE data protection regulations and organizational policies
- Collaborating with business, technology, risk, audit, and compliance teams to strengthen data management practices

Who You Are
- Proven experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, MDM, or Information Management roles
- Strong knowledge of data governance frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, COBIT, or similar methodologies
- Experience implementing governance programs within large enterprises or complex business environments
- Understanding of data privacy, information security, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Strategic thinker with the ability to align governance initiatives with business objectives
- Experience within Banking, Financial Services, Government, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Energy, or Large Enterprise environments is highly desirable
