- Establish data governance policies, standards, processes, and operating models
- Define data ownership, stewardship models, and governance responsibilities across business and technology teams
- Implement data quality management frameworks to improve accuracy, completeness, and reliability of enterprise data
- Manage metadata, data cataloging, lineage, and business glossary initiatives
- Support Master Data Management (MDM) strategies and implementation
- Define and implement data classification and data privacy frameworks
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, security teams, and technology teams to ensure effective data governance
- Monitor governance KPIs, data quality metrics, and compliance requirements
- Drive adoption of governance practices across enterprise data initiatives
Requirements
- 6–12+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, or Enterprise Data Management
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Business Analytics, or a related field
- Strong understanding of DAMA DMBOK or NDMO frameworks and data governance principles
- Hands on experience with Collibra or Alation for data catalog, metadata, lineage, and governance workflows
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality or comparable data quality tools
- Experience implementing Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks and processes
- Experience with Data Classification and Data Privacy frameworks
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills

Job Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & Management Specialist with 6–12+ years of experience to establish, implement, and manage enterprise data governance frameworks.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data governance standards, data quality management, metadata management, master data management, data classification, and privacy practices.
- This role will support organizations in improving data trust, compliance, accessibility, and business value through effective governance strategies.
Key Responsibilities

- Define data ownership, stewardship models, and governance responsibilities across business and technology teams
- Implement data quality management frameworks to improve accuracy, completeness, and reliability of enterprise data
- Manage metadata, data cataloging, lineage, and business glossary initiatives
- Support Master Data Management (MDM) strategies and implementation
- Define and implement data classification and data privacy frameworks
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, security teams, and technology teams to ensure effective data governance

- Support regulatory compliance and data protection requirements
Required Technical & Functional Skills
- Strong understanding of DAMA DMBOK or NDMO frameworks and data governance principles
- Experience designing and implementing enterprise data governance operating models
- Knowledge of data stewardship, ownership, policies, standards, and governance processes
- Hands on experience with Collibra or Alation for data catalog management, metadata management, business glossary creation, data lineage tracking, and governance workflow management
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality (DQ) or comparable data quality tools
- Strong understanding of data profiling, validation rules, quality monitoring, and remediation processes
- Experience implementing Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks and processes
- Understanding of master data domains, golden records, and data synchronization approaches
- Experience with Data Classification and Data Privacy frameworks
- Knowledge of sensitive data identification, protection controls, and compliance requirements
- Understanding of privacy regulations and enterprise data protection practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Management, Business Analytics, or a related field
- 6–12+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, or Enterprise Data Management
- Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture and governance practices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills
- Experience working with cross functional teams in enterprise environments
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting large scale data transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern data ecosystems
- Familiarity with data security, risk management, and compliance frameworks
- Experience establishing Data Governance Centers of Excellence (CoE)
- Certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, Data Governance, or Privacy certifications are a plus
