- Establish data governance policies, standards, processes, and operating models
- Define data ownership, stewardship models, and governance responsibilities across business and technology teams
- Implement data quality management frameworks to improve accuracy, completeness, and reliability of enterprise data
- Manage metadata, data cataloging, lineage, and business glossary initiatives
- Support Master Data Management (MDM) strategies and implementation
- Define and implement data classification and data privacy frameworks
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, data owners, security teams, and technology teams to ensure effective data governance
- Monitor governance KPIs, data quality metrics, and compliance requirements
- Drive adoption of governance practices across enterprise data initiatives
- Support regulatory compliance and data protection requirements
Requirements
- 6 12+ years of experience in data governance and management
- Strong understanding of DAMA DMBOK or NDMO frameworks
- Hands on experience with Collibra or Alation for data catalog, metadata, and governance workflow management
- Experience with Informatica Data Quality or comparable data quality tools
- Experience implementing Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks
- Experience with Data Classification and Data Privacy frameworks
- Knowledge of privacy regulations and enterprise data protection practices

Job Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Data Governance & Management Specialist with 6 12+ years of experience to establish, implement, and manage enterprise data governance frameworks.
- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data governance standards, data quality management, metadata management, master data management, data classification, and privacy practices.
- This role will support organizations in improving data trust, compliance, accessibility, and business value through effective governance strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement enterprise data governance frameworks aligned with industry standards and business objectives.
- Establish data governance policies, standards, processes, and operating models.
- Define data ownership, stewardship models, and governance responsibilities across business and technology teams.
- Implement data quality management frameworks to improve accuracy, completeness, and reliability of enterprise data.
- Manage metadata, data cataloging, lineage, and business glossary initiatives.
- Support Master Data Management (MDM) strategies and implementation.
- Define and implement data classification and data privacy frameworks.

Required Technical & Functional Skills
- Data Governance Frameworks: Strong understanding of DAMA DMBOK or NDMO frameworks and data governance principles.
- Data Governance Platforms: Hands on experience with Collibra or Alation for data catalog management, metadata management, business glossary creation, data lineage tracking, and governance workflow management.
- Data Quality Management: Experience with Informatica Data Quality (DQ) or comparable data quality tools; strong understanding of data profiling, validation rules, quality monitoring, and remediation processes.
- Master Data Management: Experience implementing Master Data Management (MDM) frameworks and processes; understanding of master data domains, golden records, and data synchronization approaches.
- Data Classification & Privacy: Experience with Data Classification and Data Privacy frameworks; knowledge of sensitive data identification, protection controls, and compliance requirements; understanding of privacy regulations and enterprise data protection practices.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting large scale data transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern data ecosystems.
- Familiarity with data security, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Experience establishing Data Governance Centers of Excellence (CoE).
- Certifications such as CDMP, DAMA, Data Governance, or Privacy certifications are a plus.
