Are you ready to make data your playground?
Join a team where your technical skills, creativity, and curiosity will help shape how HR data is classified, secured, and delivered across the enterprise.
If you thrive on variety, love solving complex problems, and want to make a real impact, this is the role for you!
As a Data Management Associate in HR, you’ll be the driving force behind how our organization classifies, secures, and unlocks the power of data.
You’ll architect robust access control models, organize and elevate HR data assets, and champion data as a product—making information discoverable, trusted, and ready for action.
Collaborating with Data Owners, Product Owners, Engineering and business leaders, you’ll deliver high-impact presentations, streamline governance, and continuously improve our data processes.
If you’re ready to innovate, influence, and transform how data empowers our people, this is the opportunity for you.
Job responsibilities:
Support roadmap execution by gathering inputs, documenting decisions, tracking milestones, and maintaining risk and dependency logs and release checklists.
Assist with role and access design for HR and employee data — documenting policy patterns clearly enough that engineering teams can implement them without follow-up.
Maintain the entitlement taxonomy (data products, assets, attributes, concepts, sensitivity tags), flagging inconsistencies and keeping documentation current across teams.
Develop working knowledge of the firm’s enterprise data platform entitlement model — how access is structured at the object, row, and column level — sufficient to document requirements and validate implementations.
Support data classification maintenance by keeping sensitivity tier definitions accurate and linking business glossary terms to physical data assets.
Document how enterprise identity groups map to data platform access roles, flagging mismatches or accounts that fall outside governed structures.
Develop familiarity with entitlement and governance tooling in use (e.g., Immuta, Collibra) — enough to document configurations, support testing, and produce end-user guidance.
Write clear, build-ready requirements — user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, data definitions — that engineering teams can act on directly.
Coordinate and facilitate stakeholder working sessions, demos, and training, making entitlement concepts accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Track and report entitlement metrics (time-to-entitle, recertification rates, SQL performances) and surface trends or anomalies to the product lead.
Ensure audit logging and compliance requirements are reflected in requirements and release artifacts; understand what evidence a controls review needs.
Maintain SOPs for entitlement operations — access requests, approvals, recertifications, exceptions — in line with firmwide standards.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
2+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, data governance, access controls, or risk and controls — ideally in a data-heavy environment.
Working understanding of Role-Based (RBAC) and Attribute-Based (ABAC) access control — what they are, when each applies, and how policies translate into platform configurations.
Familiarity with enterprise data platforms and fair understanding of SQL.
Basic understanding of data classification — sensitivity tiers, tagging, and how classification drives access policy.
Comfortable working with data dictionaries and business glossaries.
Able to read data queries and table definitions well enough to review access configurations and identify obvious entitlement gaps — deep technical expertise is not required.
Proven ability to produce precise, actionable requirements — user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria — that engineering teams can build from without back-and-forth.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
Experience in financial services, healthcare, or another highly regulated environment.
Exposure to an enterprise data or analytics platform — how access is structured, how users and groups are provisioned, and how data consumption is governed.
Familiarity with entitlement or governance tools such as Immuta, Collibra, or equivalent, even in a contributor or analyst capacity.
Comfort reviewing technical specifications and participating in testing alongside engineering teams.
Willingness to learn new concepts with a problem solving mindset.
Global financial services and investment banking firm.
