Capco is seeking a Senior Consultant Data Engineer with strong Snowflake expertise for its Data and Analytics practice in Doha.
The role focuses on modern cloud-based data platforms for financial institutions and other enterprise clients.
The position combines technical delivery, client engagement, solution design, and mentoring of junior colleagues.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data platforms using Snowflake and modern data engineering technologies.
- Build ELT/ETL solutions integrating data from multiple enterprise sources while ensuring quality, security, and governance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, architects, and delivery teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, cost management, and data modeling.
- Support client engagements through technical leadership, solution design, mentoring, and project delivery.
Required Experience
- Proven experience delivering enterprise-scale data engineering solutions with strong hands-on Snowflake expertise.
- At least five years of Snowflake experience is required.
- Experience with SQL, Python, and modern cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data integration, and data governance principles.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and consulting skills.
- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and leading technical workstreams.
- A proven track record building end-to-end ELT/ETL ingestion and transformation pipelines.
- Experience configuring advanced Snowflake features including Snowpark, Dynamic Tables, Streams and Tasks, Snowpipe or Streaming ingestion, dbt Projects, and Apache Iceberg.
- Experience with dbt, Apache Airflow, Kafka, or other modern data engineering tools.
Bonus Qualifications
- Relevant Snowflake or other cloud platform certifications are advantageous.
- Exposure to financial services, banking, capital markets, or insurance is advantageous.
- Experience with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code is advantageous.
- Previous consulting experience delivering complex client engagements is advantageous.
