Role overview
Design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions on the Azure Databricks platform supporting AUNZ.
Build enterprise-scale data transformations and well-modeled silver- and gold-layer datasets for Power BI reporting.
Work with the Head of Data and Analytics on technical scoping and delivery against business requirements.
Data pipeline development
- Design, build, test, and maintain ELT pipelines using Databricks, Delta Live Tables, and Databricks Asset Bundles.
- Manage data workflows and orchestration to ensure ELT process accuracy and availability.
- Deliver silver- and gold-layer data models within a medallion architecture.
Platform and governance
- Implement Unity Catalog access controls, data lineage, and data discovery capabilities.
- Apply CI/CD and DevOps practices using GitHub Actions for deployment, testing, and release management.
- Build automated solutions aligned with architectural best practices.
