Role Summary
Design, build, and operate ingestion, transformation, quality, enrichment, and Lakehouse solutions for enterprise point-of-sale and related commercial data.
Work across the full data pipeline lifecycle in alignment with standards from the Enterprise Data Architect and direction from the Data Engineering Leader.
Ingestion and Pipeline Development
- Build automated ingestion pipelines and multi-source integrations for retailer, headquarters, and business-unit data on Databricks and Azure.
- Develop RESTful APIs and integrations for retailer and third-party data acquisition.
- Integrate orchestration tools with cloud or hybrid storage for end-to-end workflows.
- Contribute to Lakehouse solutions using ACID storage, schema enforcement, and versioning.
Data Quality and Master Data
- Run checks for missing values, outliers, consistency, and cross-source reconciliation.
- Implement monitoring, validation, automated notifications, incident response, change control, and testing.
- Build the ingestion side of the attribution crosswalk and support hierarchy mappings and master data foundations.
