Data Center Technical Project Manager, Data Center Development

Team Overview ByteDance Data Center Development team is responsible for building Data Center and Network in the European region.

Our work involves, but not limiting to, data center innovation, implementing advanced technologies and renewable energy to achieve carbon-neutrality, rapid project delivery, capacity planning, process and risk control, cost management, etc.

Our objective is to provide ByteDance with efficient Data Center infrastructure services to support our business growth.

The Global Delivery Management team is mainly responsible for site selection, acquisition, and project delivery.

Business Context This role is based in London and manages projects across Europe.

Additionally, it will support data center delivery operations in Brazil, requiring regular coordination with local vendors, contractors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities - Responsible for end-to-end project management of data center delivery, including cross-functional team collaboration. - Responsible for the management of data center providers for greenfield projects. - Responsible for electrical and telecom fit-out work of the data hall. - Responsible for localization of data center standards, including worksmanship and design. - Support site selection-related tasks and technical reviews for data center infrastructure in the EU region. - Work closely with the design team to optimize data hall standards. - Support local operation teams on post-handover defect rectification.

Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering or equivalent - 3+ years of experience in a similar field and/or relevant experience in project delivery for a minimum 50 MW project - Familiar with data center building standards & authority requirements in EU region; especially in Norway & Finland etc - Portuguese language proficiency is required to support data center delivery operations in Brazil, including vendor coordination and on-site technical communication

Preferred Qualifications - Good relations with local electrical & telecom fit-out contractors will be a plus - Good relations with local telecommunication authorities & carriers will be a plus - Certification as a Professional Engineer will be a plus
