Role Overview

Safety

• Follow high safety standards and promote a world-class safety culture.
• Own safety initiatives and projects and adhere to data center protocols during red-zone and floor operations.
• Support safety inspections and maintain site compliance standards.

Data Center Operations

• Diagnose hardware and network problems and perform physical repairs.
• Troubleshoot events within internal service level agreements and perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
• Perform break-and-fix repairs, host-level decommissions, server rack decommissions, media removal, media destruction, and first responder duties.
• Use standard operating procedures and available documentation to troubleshoot hardware issues and escalate deviations.

Scope and Collaboration

• Operate across one or more DCO process paths and determine the correct task or procedure, including slight deviations, to achieve desired outcomes.
• Communicate clearly through tickets, SIMs, task tracking entries, and write-ups, and participate in meetings and presentations.
• Deliver work affecting ticket resolution, decommission throughput, and safety compliance while improving DCO workflows.

Shift and On-Call

• Support shift-based schedules, including nights, weekends, and on-call rotations, as required by operational needs.
• Manual handling and lifting of equipment up to 18 kg may be required, and operational tasks may require working at heights.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
• Experience in computer networking.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Fluent spoken and written English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.
• Experience resolving customer problems effectively and operating under pressure.
• Basic knowledge of Linux and network protocols.
