Job Summary
Acquires job skills to resolve routine tasks requiring limited judgment.
Uses standard operating procedures and supports the overall operations team.
Queue Management and Reporting
- Reviews work order requests and responds to routine orders within commitment times.
- Escalates and expedites higher-level orders under supervision.
- Follows up on queued work orders and records activity fulfillment in the ticketing system.
Installations
- Racks and stacks basic customer equipment with guidance from senior team members.
- Supports routine intra-cage and infrastructure installations, including ladder racks, fiber raceways, patch panels, ground cabinets, and post racks.
- Performs basic cable management, tape changes, and backup necessities as assigned.
Testing and Troubleshooting
- Supports basic cross-connect troubleshooting and routine testing of customer assets.
- Performs standard Layer 1 cross-connect certification testing under supervision.
- May learn semi-routine testing under supervision.
Customer and Stakeholder Support
- Supports operations and security personnel during breaks or other activities when necessary.
- Provides quality customer service and follows standard order execution requirements.
- Discusses deployment time expectations and may support on-site customers through access and escorting services.
Projects and Training
- Supports project fulfillment under close supervision.
- Completes assigned training in a timely manner.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires a high school diploma and one year of equivalent work experience.
