Data & Business Analyst (Alibaba Cloud Stack)

Role Overview

Requirements and Documentation

• Gather, analyze, validate, and document business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Translate requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications for Data Engineering.
• Maintain BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process maps, sequence diagrams, scope documents, and UAT plans.
• Track milestones, maintain issue logs, monitor progress, and keep documentation current.

Collaboration and Delivery

• Work with Product Managers, Data Engineers, UX/UI Designers, and QA teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate workshops, stakeholder meetings, and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Support QA testing and User Acceptance Testing to verify that solutions meet business requirements.
• Identify risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate them proactively.

Process Optimization

• Analyze business processes for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Evaluate operational, financial, and technology-related risks and recommend mitigation actions.
• Support wireframes, prototypes, process diagrams, and workflow documentation.
• Monitor product performance, gather user feedback, and recommend enhancements.

Required Qualifications

• Fluent spoken and written English and Chinese are required for regional stakeholder collaboration.
• Strong hands-on experience with Alibaba Cloud, Grafana, QuickBI, and custom business reports is required.
• Experience with AI-enabled tools and code-driven workflows for dashboards and reporting templates is required.
• Understanding of APIs, DWD, DWS, ADS, ODS, data integration, and BPM or workflow solutions is required.
• Experience producing BRDs, FRDs, use cases, process maps, sequence diagrams, scope documents, and UAT plans is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Workshop and requirements-gathering experience with senior stakeholders is preferred.
• Experience evaluating operational, financial, and technology-related risk is preferred.
• Exposure to wireframing, prototyping, and process-diagramming tools is preferred.
• Experience working with a Data Engineering team on Alibaba Cloud infrastructure is preferred.
