Role overview
Design and implement cognitive solutions that run on multiple platforms and combine multiple software packages.
Create technical solution architectures for business problems and lead solution development, integration, and testing.
Solution architecture
- Design cognitive solutions using system engineering principles, cloud architectures, and probabilistic and stochastic systems.
- Engineer performance architecture for fully functional cognitive systems.
- Apply system decomposition and system synthesis using available cognitive technology, including the Watson technology suite.
Analytics and information flow
- Select complementary analytics components for solution blueprints.
- Consider content formats, representations, data sources, content management systems, and interfaces.
- Develop blueprints covering the information path from source to knowledge base and from input to content processing.
Required expertise
- Experience with system engineering principles, cloud architectures, probabilistic and stochastic systems, and system decomposition.
- Deep expertise in cognitive technology, including the Watson technology suite.
- Experience with content formats, representations, data sources, content management systems, and interfaces.
- Experience in performance architecture and engineering of cognitive systems.
- Experience leading development, integration, and testing of complex cognitive solutions.
Preferred qualifications
- A master's degree is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and experience with varied data sources, content formats, and representations are preferred.
