Company and Project Context
SYSTRA Canada is an engineering and consulting firm focused on transportation solutions for passenger and goods movement.
The ALTO project aims to develop more than 1,000 kilometres of new passenger rail service between Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, and Quebec City.
Main Duties
- Manage, structure, analyze, and standardize project data for business and user requirements.
- Automate data processes and optimize Microsoft Power Platform tools to improve efficiency and data quality.
- Build and maintain Power BI and Microsoft Fabric dashboards, visualizations, dataflows, and semantic models.
- Work with stakeholders to define reporting needs and support informed decision-making.
- Maintain documentation and ensure governance, security, and regulatory compliance.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business intelligence, data analytics, statistics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
- Two to three years of experience in a similar role.
Technical Skills
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Dataflow Gen2, Data Factory, and Notebooks.
- Proficiency with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric for semantic models, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
- Strong command of DAX and Power Query for data modeling, extraction, cleansing, transformation, and advanced analytics.
- Understanding of data modeling, data governance, and data quality principles.
