Role overview

The Data Analyst will help Workman make better use of business data by turning complex information into meaningful insights.

The role combines data, technology, business operations, and stakeholder-facing analysis.

The analyst will work with Property Management, Accounts, Building Consultancy, and other service lines.

Core responsibilities

  • Extract, cleanse, transform, and oversee data solutions from property management, financial, and other business systems.
  • Ensure data is accurate, reliable, and accessible for reporting and analysis.
  • Scope and deliver data-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce manual reporting.
  • Analyse datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities, then translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Contribute to data standards, governance frameworks, documentation, and best practices.

Reporting and analytics duties

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports showing key business metrics.
  • Create and manage structured datasets, semantic models, and reusable query logic.
  • Support Microsoft Fabric solutions, including data warehouses, Lakehouses, and semantic models.
  • Participate in knowledge sharing, peer reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Monitor analytics technology developments and recommend innovative approaches.

Required experience and skills

  • 2–3 years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar data-focused role.
  • Strong SQL skills and the ability to write, optimise, and troubleshoot relational database queries independently.
  • Working knowledge of Python.
  • Hands-on Power BI experience, including DAX, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and project ownership.

Desirable experience

  • Experience with semantic models and centralised data platforms.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Warehouses, Lakehouses, pipelines, shortcuts, and semantic models.
  • An interest in the commercial property sector.

Working arrangements

  • Hybrid working is provided with a minimum of three days in the office.
  • Core working hours provide additional flexibility.
