About the Role
Float is looking for a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence to own the reporting layer, design dashboards, and build self-serve BI tools. The role partners with the data team and leadership to turn business questions into data products.

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain Float's core dashboards and reporting infrastructure
- Work with the Analytics Engineer to translate business requirements into data models
- Use AI as a force multiplier for building self serve tooling and scaling analysis
- Define and maintain Float's authoritative metrics library
- Partner with Chief of Staff and Head of Data on QBRs, board prep, and performance reporting
- Build a self serve BI environment that reduces dependence on the data team
- Flag data model gaps and quality issues to the analytics engineer
Requirements
- 2–4+ years of experience as a BI or business analyst, ideally at a high growth fintech or SaaS company
- Strong SQL including CTEs, window functions, aggregations
- Deep experience in a BI tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or Sigma)
- Comfortable reading dbt models and understanding data lineage
- Comfortable using AI tools as an accelerator
- Structured thinker who turns ambiguous questions into clear analytical frames
- Strong written communication skills
- Proactive and collaborative

What We're Looking For
- 2–4+ years of experience as a BI or business analyst, ideally at a high growth fintech or SaaS company.
- Strong SQL including CTEs, window functions, aggregations.
- Deep experience in a BI tool (Metabase, Looker, Tableau, or Sigma).
- Comfortable reading dbt models and understanding data lineage.
- Comfortable using AI tools as an accelerator.
- Structured thinker who turns ambiguous questions into clear analytical frames.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Proactive and collaborative.
- Experience supporting senior audiences is a strong plus.
- Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud warehouse is a plus.
- Python experience is a plus.
