A leading ecommerce retailer is hiring a Senior Data Analyst to drive commercially focused decision-making.
This is a hands-on senior analytics role with leadership responsibility for a small team.
The role combines technical analytics work, team mentoring, and stakeholder decision support.
Salary
- The stated salary range is £60,000 to £65,000.
Location and Working Pattern
- The role is based in Hereford with hybrid working and two to three days per week onsite.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build and maintain complex data models, dashboards, reporting systems, and automated analytics workflows.
- Lead and mentor a small team of Data Analysts.
- Turn large datasets into actionable commercial insights.
- Lead cross-functional analytics projects and uncover optimisation opportunities.
- Own reporting quality and consistency across the business.
- Manage incoming data requests, prioritise work, and delegate tasks.
- Improve BI tools, processes, and reporting standards.
- Work with the Data Science Manager on the analytics and data roadmap.
What You Will Need
- Strong commercial experience in data analytics or business intelligence.
- Excellent SQL skills and experience querying large-scale datasets.
- Experience building dashboards, databases, and reporting solutions.
- Ability to translate data into actionable commercial insight.
- Experience mentoring or managing junior analysts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of wider business performance.
- Experience with cloud data platforms and modern BI tools.
- Strong organisation, proactivity, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience using Looker or Google Analytics.
- Experience in ecommerce, retail, or another high-volume consumer environment.
