The preferred experience range is 2 to 3 years, with jewellery, retail, or e-commerce exposure preferred.

Key responsibilities

  • Gather, process, and analyze sales, inventory, procurement, and production datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies.
  • Design and maintain secure, available, and reliable data architecture across ERP, POS, e-commerce, and HRMS platforms.
  • Build interactive KPI dashboards covering store-wise sales, inventory turnover, margin impact, wastage, and vendor output.
  • Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports plus ad hoc analyses for strategic and operational decisions.
  • Partner with retail operations, merchandising, production, finance, and IT to capture data needs and deliver solutions.
  • Implement data validation and cleansing processes and resolve data errors at source.
  • Automate recurring reports to reduce turnaround time and manual errors.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Have hands-on experience with SQL, Python, or R, including strong SQL knowledge of joins, aggregations, and stored procedures.
  • Be proficient in Power BI or a similar visualization platform such as Tableau, Looker Studio, or Qlik.
  • Be comfortable with data modeling, DAX or equivalent calculated measures, and refreshable data pipelines.
  • Have expert-level Excel skills, including pivot tables, Power Query, lookup and reference functions, conditional logic, and large-dataset handling.
  • Understand jewellery operations, including inventory valuation, stock movement, making charges, wastage, purity, karat handling, metal rates, costing, and margins.
  • Be familiar with ERP and POS data structures.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to reach defensible conclusions from imperfect data.
  • Communicate complex insights effectively to non-technical stakeholders and senior management.

Preferred qualifications

  • Relevant certifications in data analytics, Power BI, or SQL are preferred.
  • Experience in jewellery, luxury retail, fashion, or e-commerce is preferred.
  • Exposure to multi-store environments is an advantage.
