Support business decision-making through data collection, analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
Transform operational and financial data into actionable insights while maintaining data quality and governance.
Join the IT team as a Part-Time Data Analyst at the head office location in Morriston, Ontario.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain operational, financial, and project reporting dashboards.
- Analyze business data and create recurring and ad hoc reports.
- Monitor data quality and resolve reporting discrepancies.
- Assist with KPI definition, tracking, and reporting.
- Automate manual reporting processes where possible.
- Support system implementations and data migration activities.
- Document reporting processes and data definitions.
- Collaborate with IT and business teams to improve data accessibility and reporting capabilities.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Experience developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, reports, and datasets.
- Strong understanding of data visualization principles and KPI reporting.
- Ability to write SQL queries for extraction, validation, and analysis.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data sources.
- Understanding of relational databases, normalization, dimensional models, data governance, and data quality.
- Knowledge of Power Automate and familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint Lists, and Microsoft 365 data sources.
- Ability to translate business requirements into reports and dashboards and present findings to varied audiences.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
